MiaDonna is proud to serve a loyal United Kingdom customer base. As such, we wish to make the international buying process as seamless as possible.

Here is an overview of the important information customers shipping to the United Kingdom should know before purchasing online from MiaDonna.


Shipping Fees and Timeline

MiaDonna charges a 100 USD shipping fee on all orders shipped to the UK which includes insurance. All orders are shipped via FedEx International Priority (signature required) which takes one business day to reach the UK, then on average 1-10 business days to be inspected and released from customs. The timeline for release is up to the United Kingdom Customs Department, and unfortunately, MiaDonna has no way to expedite this process.


Duties & Taxes

MiaDonna does not collect import fees or VAT (20%) at the time of order. Any associated fees will be payable to the United Kingdom Customs Department. 

Import Duties

United Kingdom import duties on a lab-grown diamond engagement ring are 2.5% the cost of the ring between £135-£630. For items above £630, the rate depends on the type of goods and where they came from. Please contact your local Customs Department for more information. 

If you purchase a loose lab-grown diamond (not set in a ring setting), you will not be required to pay import duties.

Value Added Tax

A Value Added Tax (VAT) of 20% will be applied to all orders imported into the United Kingdom. VAT will need to be paid on the value of the goods imported at the same time and in the same manner as customs duty is paid. The value of the taxable importation is the sum of:

  • the customs value (CV) of the imported goods
  • postage, packaging, and insurance (shipping fees)
  • any duty you owe

    Currency

    MiaDonna processes all transactions in USD. For your convenience, we provide an estimate GBP price that is based on real-time currency exchange rates updated on a daily basis.


    Returns

    MiaDonna offers a 30-day return policy on all orders shipped to the United Kingdom excluding custom and sales items. Please read our official return policy for full terms and conditions.

    To return your order, please email [email protected] to request your RMA number and return instructions. MiaDonna will provide a full refund on a returned product providing it meets our return guidelines, less the original $100 shipping fee which is non-refundable. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover shipping costs back to our facility.

    It should also be noted that duties and associated customs fees will not be refunded if the item/order is returned because you changed your mind, the item doesn't fit, or because you do not like the item. Please refer to the United Kingdom Tax & Customs website for further information.
