Featured Couple - Meet Becca and Fisher

Meet Becca and Fisher, our latest featured couple! This Georgia couple has been together for four years now, after being set up by mutual friends from college.

Becca and Fisher love to travel and take a big trip every year. This year's trip took them to Scotland, where they planned to spend most of their time in the Scottish Highlands hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. During a few days on the Isle of Skye, the highlight of their trip, Fisher decided it was time to propose, but the weather was horrible. Since he didn’t want to pop the question in the rain but wanted to make the moment happen on a hike, Fisher constantly carried the ring around with the hopes of some sunshine.

Fisher’s plans almost went awry on a tough, muddy, and windy hike on the Quiraing. He went to take a photo and as he pulled out his phone, he knocked the ring out of his pocket too, right on the edge of a cliff! In all of the wind, fog, and mud, Fisher scrambled to grab the ring and managed to do so without Becca catching on. Luckily, the ring was safe and now the couple has a great story to tell.

Time was running out on their trip, but an opportune moment came about when the couple was at Neist Point. The setting made for an incredible backdrop and the sun even broke through for a few minutes, making it the perfect time for Fisher to ask Becca to marry him. While Becca was enjoying the first bit of sunshine they had on their trip, Fisher came over to her, got down on one knee, and she said ‘yes!’ So excited about their brand new engagement, the happy couple stumbled around laughing and completely forgot to go to the main landmark at Neist Point. The sun stayed out for the rest of the day, which Becca and Fisher like to think was the Scottish faeries giving their blessing.

This couple had looked at many engagement ring designs online together and in the process, came to the conclusion that they wanted to go with a lab-grown diamond. With that in mind, Fisher came to MiaDonna. With the help of his sister and Becca’s friend, Fisher custom designed an amazing ring to propose with that was just what Becca wanted. Becca says her fiancé still catches her staring at her ring mid-conversation from time to time!

Becca and Fisher are currently living in Atlanta, Georgia and planning a destination wedding in Puerto Rico for February of 2020. We wish these two all the best in their engagement and soon-to-be married life!
